Daylone
Top Ohio Rap ARtist
A combination of melody and reality, Daylone, as he mentioned when asked what is the rap game missing and stating “Me, that’s what is missing, for sure”, is an talented artists coming from the West Side of Dayton that can easily standout amongst today’s crowded rap game.
While releasing music for over a few years now, browsing on Youtube you will see over 100,000 views that Daylone has accounted for, with some dating back as far as 2016, if not earlier. From watching his earlier videos to watching his latest you can see the progress over time, which has created a platform that has led him to be not only one of the top artists coming out of the small city of Dayton, but also the entire state of Ohio.
Below is a short interview with Daylone that breaks down his musical path, from how he got his start in music to where he wants to go with his career. A unique talent with a style and sound that does not have many similarities with too many artists, so as mentioned above it is easy for Daylone to standout and to not get caught in the category of just your everyday rapper.

Kulture Vulturez: How was it like growing up in Dayton, OH?
Daylone: Growing up in Dayton is cool. Probably like any other city, it has its ups and downs, but for the most part it is cool. It raised me for sure.
Kulture Vulturez: What got you started into making music?
Daylone: Growing up I was playing sports, I was involved in sports first. Growing up I wasn’t involved in the music until after high school, for real. So, that’s really when I got involved with the music, as far as recording and really trying to do music.
But I have always been around music, my cousins and my brothers have been doing music for the longest. My dad was a celebrity security guard, at one point, for several different artists. I have always been around the music.
Watching my cousins and my brothers really go at it, for real, made me get started with music. Just always being in the presence of them recording, and basically finally taking that opportunity and chance and just doing it myself.
– Daylone – Thank God
Kulture Vulturez: What are some of your favorite and most popular songs?
Daylone: Right now it would probably be ‘Thank God’, that’s the most recent song I just drop. That’s the main one for me right now, Thank God.
Some of my bigger songs, like some older songs, For The Green, I have a song called Nasty, Man Down. Them are some of the biggest songs, the old songs.
Kulture Vulturez: What are some of the biggest steps to get heard?
Daylone: In my opinion, the biggest steps to get heard is being consistent, showing your face and being out there as much as possible. That’s something I lack at, most of the times, just being consistent.
For the most part, I feel like if you’re being consistent, putting money behind yourself, your brand, and doing anything to get yourself out there. I feel like that most of you can really do as an artists and to get known.
– Daylone- Hard Days
Kulture Vulturez: What can fans expect when listening to your music?
Daylone: They are going to expect pain, real, they are going to see the growth from the start to now, how my music is now. They are just going to see the growth, they are going to understand my story, they are going understand me once they hear my music.
Kulture Vulturez: How do you feel you standout?
Daylone: My sound. I feel like I have my own sound. I feel like it’s just a different sound that nobody really heard, for real. Once it catches that attention it is going to be something special.
Kulture Vulturez: What is next for Daylone?
Daylone: Right now, I’m just trying to push singles. I have recent projects, I have Thank God, I just drop the single and video for that, available on all streaming platforms. Another recent project, Lingo Tunes is out on all platforms.
But right now I’m just trying to go the single route. Or just build, not just even the single route, just actual structure. Just build the next one, before I release this one. At the same time, drop singles and drop videos and stay consistent.
Kulture Vulturez: What is your overall goal?
Daylone: Overall goal is still trying to figure out who I am as a person and just working on myself. Try to grow as a man, a father, a brother, boyfriend, all that. That is just my ultimate goal. Being wealthy, that is the biggest goal.
