Meet and Get To Know Jayfrxsh
Kulture Vulturez: How long have you been making music and what led you to begin taking it seriously?
Jayfrxsh: I’ve been making music for about a year now since November of 2020 and what led me to taking music seriously is my friends and fans. I have a big following on TikTok right now at 600 thousand followers and throughout my entire journey my fans begged me to do music because of how amazing they think my voice is.
Part of the people reaching out to me were my friends and they’d DM me saying “You got to take music seriously you got potential,” or “ You going to make it out, I believe in you.” So, that really shifted my mindset to take this serious.
Kulture Vulturez: As a kid or growing up were you or anyone around you involved in music or anything similar that might have inspired you?
Jayfrxsh: As a kid I was always around music whether that was a church choir, school choir, or city choir you name it so music was always familiar to me. But if I had to say what got me into music to begin with, it’d probably be all the days of playing guitar hero and rock band singing just to get ready for my school talent shows.

Kulture Vulturez: Being from Baton Rouge, has any Louisiana rapper’s influence? If not what has been your biggest influences?
Jayfrxsh: Honestly I have listened to many artists from Baton Rouge my whole life such as Kevin Gates, NBA Youngboy, Gee Money, Fredo Bang, etc.. I feel like since I listen to so many artists in so many genres my biggest inspiration for singers alone would be Bruno Mars and for rappers it would be Rod Wave.
Kulture Vulturez: Breakdown your style of music? What to expect listening to you?
Jayfrxsh: Although its only been a year of making music and I only have a few songs out, I consider myself as a melodic music artist who can switch between songs made for just a vibe to an artist that can talk about pain and the the feelings people in this world are scared to talk about.
So far that’s exactly what I’ve done, because I have plenty of supporters telling me they were going through something in life but after listening to my music and being able to relate they have felt much better and changed their outlook about things.
Kulture Vulturez: How has the feedback about your music been? Is it motivating?
Jayfrxsh: The love and feedback that I have gotten from supporters and just any new person to hear my music is real and it means the most to me, because there are some days where me and other artists as well hardly have any motivation to keep doing music, but when someone even comments or gives us the smallest motivation especially when you feel like nothing is going right, it can make me go even harder.

Kulture Vulturez: How do you do you want to be remembered as an artist?
Jayfrxsh: I want to be remembered as an artist that everyone got to get along with because of my personality. An artist that makes music where you can’t help but to play my music over and over and over. I want to be remembered as an artist where when you feel like you don’t have anything or anyone to talk to about your problems I’m like your best friend through music.
Kulture Vulturez: Outside of music, are you involved in anything or have any ambitions to?
Jayfrxsh: Besides doing music I have always loved playing sports especially football as well as watching it and playing video games and getting into streaming.
Kulture Vulturez: What plans you have for your career that you can share, anything coming up to be on the lookout for?
Jayfrxsh: I plan on dropping way more music in 2022 including some projects and music videos so keep a lookout on that.
