Bay Area Rappers
Map of the Hoods of Bay Area’s All-Time Best
From East Bay’s Oakland and San Francisco to North Bay’s Richmond and Vallejo, Bay Area rappers have contributed much to the history and foundation of West Coast hip-hop. A place that produced a number of legends, like Too $hort, E-40, Mac Dre, and many more, has dozens of Bay Area artists across the region that greatly contributed not only West Coast hip-hop, but the genre in general.
The map below highlights the very neighborhoods and cities some of the West Coast’s all-time best originated from. Not only showing the legends and pioneers, but also highlighting the new generation of Bay Area’s rap scene, like Larry June, Philty Rich, Berner, and many more top rappers of the 2020s.
*Richmond will be added. If any artists are missing or in the wrong location leave a comment!
